Mumbai, May 22, 2024– Actor Punit Tiwari, known for his remarkable performance in TVF’s series "Sandeep Bhaiya," has shared insights into his latest venture in Zakir Khan’s popular series "Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare." Tiwari plays the character Ankur, who serves as a publicist, personal secretary, and executive assistant to the Vidhayak (MLA), portrayed by Abhimanyu Singh.

In a candid conversation with the Lokdoot, Tiwari revealed the multifaceted nature of his character. "I am playing the character of a person who not only acts as a publicist for the Vidhayak but also as a personal secretary and executive assistant. He is in charge of various affairs for the MLA, as well as the campaigning of the party, starting from social media handling to poster designs and other BTL activities. This person needs adequate acknowledgment and recognition. This is why he tries to push the envelope to gain brownie points," Tiwari explained.

The dynamic interactions between Zakir Khan, Abhimanyu Singh, and Tiwari’s character form the crux of the series. Reflecting on the upcoming season, Tiwari added, "The season 3 ends when Ankur asks the MLA, ‘Abb kya hoga?’ The MLA says, ‘Tandav hoga.’ Thus I think the next episode is going to be very dramatic and I am excited about my role. I enjoyed working on this show. It’s appropriate to watch along with family members."

Tiwari also shared his positive experience on set, emphasizing the collaborative and supportive environment. "It was a great experience working on the set. The vibe was highly optimistic. Being an artist, I am very sensitive towards the overall work environment. I enjoyed the process during the shoot. Everything was being coordinated swiftly and amicably. All the co-actors were very supportive."

Speaking about his co-stars, Tiwari expressed admiration for Zakir Khan’s storytelling prowess and Abhimanyu Singh’s extensive knowledge of world cinema. "I always consider Zakir bhai as an amazing storyteller; I liked working with him. I spent most of my time with Abhimanyu ji. He has a vast knowledge about world cinema and we talked a lot about that. We even talked about various actors and their acting processes. I think he himself is such a great actor that he would inspire any young actor who witnesses his acting on the set."

In addition to his work in "Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare," Tiwari has acted alongside Emraan Hashmi in the upcoming film "Ground Zero," directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar and produced by Excel Entertainment. Reflecting on this experience, Tiwari shared a memorable moment from the set. "During his early years of fame, I was in my school days and we used to watch him a lot. I was probably in class 11 when his film 'Ashiq Banaya Aapne' was released. Once during the shoot, I shared with him: ‘Aap hi ke filmon ne humein jawan kiya hai.’ Responding to this, he humorously said: ‘Tum logon ko jawan karte karte main khud hi budhdha hone ja raha hun.’ I enjoyed watching him on screen and the heroism he depicts through his performance."

Looking ahead, Tiwari is developing a series based on his hometown, which has a distinctive railway school vibe. He is also involved in several independent films and has numerous projects in the pipeline. While some of these projects remain confidential, Tiwari expressed his desire to work with esteemed directors such as Anurag Kashyap, Raju Hirani, Vikramaditya Motwane, and Sriram Raghvan.

With his diverse roles and promising future projects, Punit Tiwari continues to captivate audiences with his talent and dedication to his craft.
