PM Modi Interacts With Indian Paralympic Athletes

On Saturday, PM Narendra on his official Twitter handle announced that he shared a look or view of his interaction with Paralympic champions who bought honour and glory to India at the Tokyo Olympics on September, 12. The 2020 Paralympics were held from August 24 to September 5, in Tokyo, Japan, in which India bought 19 medals, including 5 gold, 8 silver, and 6 bronze. It was noticed that 54 Indians participated in the Paralympics and completed 9 sports events. In the video, we can see that PM is talking or interacting with the athletes and their coaches. The PM is congratulating them on their efforts and outstanding performance in the Paralympics.

PM Narendra Modi’s office shared some exclusive pictures earlier. In the pictures, he was interacting with paralympic champions who included Krishna Nagar, who won a gold medal in the men’s singles SH6 category, Palak Kohli, who won a silver medal in the mixed doubles with Pramod Bhagat and also gave a tap on the back of Suhas Yathiraj, who won a silver medal in the men’s singles badminton SL4 category. Also, on September 9, PM Narendra Modi arranged the Tokyo Paralympics contingent just like he arranged the Olympic contingent, and on September 8, Anurag Thakur, who is the Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, tweeted that the central government will support the athletes as their target is to achieve a "Podium Finish" in 2024 and 2028.
