Vaishno Devi Tragedy: PM announces 2 Lac Compensation for deceased

Jammu and Kashmir: The rush got activated at Vaishno Devi as there were huge numbers of admirers who came to take blessing for the new year start in that reins a small fight happened between some boys which lead to huge bungling, this was confirmed by Dilbag Singh who is director-general of police in Jammu and Kashmir. He also stated that police and administration were quick to respond and the order was taken but the damage happened.

In this rush, 12 people have died and more than a dozen (14) have been injured who have been taken to the hospital all, stated Mukesh Singh, The additional director general of police (ADGP). The whole incident has happened on tirkuta hills.

Monoj sinha, LT governor of Jammu and Kashmir has had that a high level of inquiry has been ordered for the stampede that happened.

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi tweeted for sending condolence to the family who has lost their loved ones, saying that he is extremely sad about this incident

The prime minister’s office had announced the amount of 2 lakh to each family who has lost their person and 50,000 to one who has got injured, from the prime minister’s national relief fund.

An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of those who lost their lives due to the stampede at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000: PM @narendramodi — PMO India (@PMOIndia) January 1, 2022

But this, not the first incident that happened in a religious gathering

• In the incident in 2015 which happened on the bank of the Godavari river, 27 died and nearly 20 were injured

• 32 were killed and 26 were injured in the 2014 Dussehra celebration held in Patna

• Over 100 were injured and 115 was dead in 2013 because of rumor which happened in the Navratri festival

• During the chhath puja celebration, iHaridwar20 were dead in Patna

• 20 we’re dead in 2011 at Haridwar

• In 2010 60 died as they came to collect free stuff from self-styled godman in Uttar Pradesh.

Similarly many more incident has happened than what’s the reason is their lack of security at regional places and function.
