Primary Schools in Tamil Nadu to resume offline classes soon
Offline regular classes will start for students of classes 1st to 8th in Tamil Nadu from 1 November, as announced on 28th September while the classes from class 9 to 12
Even when the sword of the third-wave dangles on the head of our country, various state governments have decided to permit the commencement of various work institutions, offices, colleges, and schools on the same thread.
The Tamil Nadu government is all set to commence schools for classes 1st to 8th from November 1st. The decision was announced on September 28th after considering the feedback from various medical experts, parents, teachers, and educationists as well. The stress and gap in learning that students have faced after the lockdown was also taken into due consideration.
Following this, a meeting was organized by Chief Minister MK Stalin at the secretariat to review the efficiency of ongoing measures to deal with the spread of the Covid-19 Virus. The decision was taken to continue the ban on social, political, cultural, and religious activities.
As decided, places of worship like temples, churches, mosques, gurudwaras, etc will continue to remain closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
With the upcoming festival season of Navratri, Dusshera, and Diwali, the government has appealed to people to avoid visiting or crowding religious places and corporate with the guidelines.
We are in a post-lockdown situation with almost half of the population above 18 years of age having already been vaccinated. It is time that we return to our normal routine and start resuming our pre-lockdown life, but while doing so, we must remember to follow all the precautionary measures. Although the World Health Organisation (WHO) has already warned that the virus is expected to transmit for a very long time, we must learn to live with it and follow our safety measures.
