Priyanka Gandhi says free medical treatment to Rs 10 lakh
Priyanka Gandhi promised free medical treatment to Rs 10 lakh in Uttar Pradesh on the victory of the Congress in the state.
Priyanka Gandhi, general secretary of the All Indian Congress Committee in charge of Uttar Pradesh on Monday promised free medical treatment to Rs 10 lakh in Uttar Pradesh on her social media platform. As per the sources, it’s a part of her strategy for assembly elections that happen in the state next year.
Gandhi in a tweet in Hindi said “everyone saw the condition of the health system of the state during the pandemic times and currently during the spread of the fever. The state’s health system is not in good condition and due to this the UP government decided that the government will provide free medical treatment for any disease to Rs 10 lakh in the state for the people who needed on the victory of Congress next year”.
As per the sources, Priyanka Gandhi promised to free all the loans from farmers, provide government services to 20 lakh young people, halving the electricity bill and Rs 25,000 to those who faced a financial crisis due to the Covid-19 if voted to power. The party has also promised the purchase of wheat at Rs 2,500 per quintal and paddy at Rs 400 per quintal. Besides this, the party has decided to give smartphones to young women who completed their school, e-scooters for graduates, and provides 40 percent tickets to women in elections if voted in power.
Also, for a very long time, congress has ruled Uttar Pradesh since the beginning of the Govind Vallabh Pant in 1950. The last time Uttar Pradesh remained under Congress rule was in the year 1989 since there has not been a single Congress member who ruled the state. According to the sources assembly elections will be scheduled early next year.
