“Zenith of Zeniths”: Under ARD President Dr. Vishnu Jinja’s Leadership, PGIMER Hosts Its Grandest Cultural Fest Ever

Chandigarh: The Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) witnessed a spectacular cultural revival as ZENITH 2025 returned after two years, setting a historic benchmark as the most grand, energetic and memorable edition ever. Organized by the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) under the visionary leadership of ARD President & Organising Chairperson Dr. Vishnu Jinja, the three-day festival (December 26–28) transformed the PGIMER campus into a vibrant celebration of music, art, creativity and togetherness.

For the first time in its history, ZENITH was hosted at the newly introduced ZENITH ARENA, a massive open-air venue near the Swimming Complex. The venue shift elevated the experience into a full-scale cultural concert environment, attracting record-breaking participation from the PGIMER fraternity.

A Grand Opening That Celebrated Resilience

The festival commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a captivating Ganesh Vandana. The inauguration was graced by PGIMER Director Prof. Vivek Lal and Chief Guest Dr. Sukhsohit Singh (IDAS), whose remarkable life journey represents courage and inspiration. Cultural Secretary Dr. Manvi Hira also played an important role in the event’s execution.

Expressing gratitude, ARD President Dr. Vishnu Jinja shared his emotions with the gathering, stating:

“We are honoured to bring Zenith back after a long two-year gap — this year it is grander, stronger and truly unforgettable for PGIMER.”

Appreciating the event, Prof. Vivek Lal remarked:

“PGI may often be known to be quiet when it comes to concerts and cultural functions — but Zenith is an exception. This edition is the biggest ever across all years.”

Three Days of Unmatched Cultural Celebration

Day 1 ignited the spirit of Zenith with a powerful performance by the Rodriguez Band, followed by a high-energy DJ Night.
Day 2 delivered a perfect blend of comedy, EDM, glamour and creativity — featuring stand-up comedian Rajat Sood, electrifying music sets, an impressive Fashion Show (won by Team Mahabharat), and engaging off-stage activities including Poetry & Story Writing, Face Painting, Art Corner exhibits and Mr. & Ms. Zenith prelims.
Day 3 saw intense participation in the MasterChef competition, Treasure Hunt, Group Dance showcase and a captivating performance by the Band of Residents.

The grand finale evening featured spellbinding performances by Padma Shri Jaspinder Narula and celebrated Bollywood singer Amit Mishra, leaving the audience cheering and dancing late into the night.

ARD President & Organising Chairperson Dr. Vishnu Jinja and Zenith Organising Secretary Dr. Puneet Kuntal said that this grand celebration was not just the effort of one team, but the result of the collective unity, hard work and dedication of everyone associated with PGI.

They emphasized that the event would not have been possible without the constant guidance and unwavering support of PGIMER Director Prof. Vivek Lal.
