Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO on Tuesday replied to a declaration that displayed the social media platforms in a bad light by arguing that the allegations that it placed profit over user safety are “just not true”.

Frances Haugen’s perspective:

A former Facebook employee and Whistleblower named Frances Haugen, 37, disclosed her identity as she confirmed before US lawmakers argued that social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram negatively harm children and need to be controlled. After the company suffers the six hours long fadeout due to an inaccurate arrangement Zuckerberg’s statement comes.

This was one of the longest fadeouts the company had ever faced. Frances Haugen in her statement at the hearing of the subcommittee on consumer production, product safety, and data security said “I used to be part of Facebook as I thought that it has the potential to highlight the best of us but I was wrong and now I believed facebook’s products negatively harm children, strengthen division and disable our democracy”.

Also, on Sunday night, Frances Haugen appeared on “60 Minutes” and argued Facebook makes terrible choices, gives priority to profits like making more money rather than children, public, privacy, and even democracy safety.

Mark Zuckerberg reply to Frances Haugen:

Mark Zuckerberg on his account posted a note to Facebook employees that stated “the argument that we post content that made people angry for the profit is irrational or unreasonable”.

“I don’t recognize any tech company that marks out to raised products that make people angry, frustrated, or disturbed. Also, the moral, business, and product incentives all point in the opposite direction” he added.

Zuckerberg stated, “every bad experience matters when it comes to young’s mental health and well-being. To help people we have worked for years on industry-leading efforts and I am proud of the work we have done so far”.

Frances Haugen last month provided Wall Street Journal that published internal Facebook research disclosed Instagram made mental health issues made more terrible for teenagers. Also, the company which was developing a version of Instagram for children put that project on hold.
