Preview: Match 14, PBKS vs SRH

In the 14th game of IPL (Indian Premier League) Punjab Kings will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad. It is the battle of the two teams placed at the bottom of the points table. Punjab Kings after back-to-back losses will now move to Chennai, where the conditions are different as compared to Mumbai and it will be difficult for a side to adjust to these conditions.

The star-studded batting line-up of Punjab has delivered in two out of three matches, but the issue with Punjab is their bowling. In the last match where Punjab scored 195 runs, the target was easily achieved by Delhi Capitals with 10 balls remaining which clearly shows that the bowling of Punjab is on the weaker side.

On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad will be desperate for a win as they have lost all three matches they have played, which shows that the team is still not used to the surface and it’s hurting them a lot. In the last two matches, the team collapsed from 96/2 to 142/9 in six overs and lost the game by 6 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Against Mumbai Indians, they went down to 137 all-out from 90/3 in about eight overs and lost the match by 13 runs. To get some points in this match Hyderabad needs to fix their unsteady middle order.

Pitch and Conditions:

Punjab Kings are all set to play their first match in Chepauk against Sunrisers Hyderabad, who has played all their matches in this stadium and knows the conditions better than Punjab. It is now obvious that the team winning the toss will choose to bat first, as out of 6 matches played here 5 matches are won by the team defending the target.

Probable XI:

Punjab Kings:

It is now time that Punjab replaces Riley Meredith with Chris Jordan. In the last match, he went for 15 runs in an over and picked up only one wicket.

Team: Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul (C & WK), Chris Gayle, Deepak Hooda, Nicholas Pooran, Shahrukh Khan, Jhye Richardson, Jalaj Saxena/Murugan Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Chris Jordan/Riley Meredith, Arshdeep Singh

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

Back-to-Back three losses will make management think, whether Kedar Jadhav can be included in the team or not.

Team: David Warner (C), Jonny Bairstow, (WK), Manish Pandey, Jason Holder, Kedar Jadhav, Vijay Shankar, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan
