Neeraj Chopra the pride of India was born at khandra, Haryana on the 24th of December 1997. He has completed his education at Dav College, Chandigarh. He has a good personality and a height of 1.82 m (6 ft).

Military career

He is part of our Indian army serving from 2016 and ranked as subedar. His service number is JC-471869A in unit 4 Rajputana rifles and is also awarded by visisht Seva medal.

Sports

Neeraj Chopra is known for his track and field sport in the javelin throw and was coached by Uwe Hohn (2018-2019).His medal record in men’s javelin throw representing India he was ranked 1 in Olympics games (2020, Tokyo) Asian games (2018, Jakarta) commonwealth games (2018, Gold coast) Asian championship (2017, Bhubaneswar) South Asian Games (2016, Guwahati/Shillong ), and was ranked 2nd in the Asian junior championship (2016, Ho Chi Minh city) He started javelin to reduce weight as he was healthy and took a liking for it.
