ICC T20 World Cup: Pakistan announces its 15-member squad

The Pakistani cricket team has announced its 15-member squad for the T20I series at home against England and New Zealand, as well as for the T20 world cup taking place this year in October.

The Pakistani cricket team has announced its 15-member squad for the T20I series at home against England and New Zealand, as well as for the T20 world cup taking place this year in October. The squad includes a few surprises as former T20 World Cup captains Shoaib Malik and Sarfaraz Khan failed to make the cut. The Pakistani side will be led by Babar Azam.

ICC (International Cricket Council) has set a deadline of September 10 for all the countries to announce their T20 World Cup squad, which is to be played in UAE (United Arab Emirates) this year.

Pakistan Squad:

Babar Azam (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Mohammad Rizwan (wicket-keeper), Asif Ali, Sohaib Maqsood, Azam Khan (wicket-keeper), Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim Junior, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Hasnain.

Reserves: Usman Qadir, Shanawaz Dahani, Fakhar Zaman
