Preview: Match 13, DC vs MI
Can Mumbai Indians make a Hat-trick of win or Delhi Capitals will emerge victorious
Delhi Capitals (DC) will be up against five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) on Tuesday. Currently, DC and MI are placed in the second and the third position in the points table respectively, both the teams have won two matches and lost one in three matches that they have played.
Delhi Capitals easily chased down the mammoth target in their previous match against Punjab Kings (PBKS). While batting first PBKS scored 195 runs, which was easily pursued by DC with Shikhar Dhawan scoring 92 runs. Both the openers of DC are looking in good touch with Shikhar Dhawan currently possessing the orange cap, and he has scored 186 runs in the tournament already with an average of 62.00 and at a strike rate of 163.16.
Mumbai Indians have won two consecutive matches and are looking like a very tough side to beat. In their previous match, where the conditions for batting were not good, Rohit Sharma and Quinton De Kock put up a really quick 55 runs opening partnership with Kieron Pollard coming in the latter half of the innings and smashing 35 runs with a strike rate of 159.09. Also, youngster Rahul Chahar is very impressive as he took 3 wickets in the previous match and gave away only 19 runs in his quota of four overs. Currently, he is the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament and has picked up 7 wickets in three matches with an average of 12.71.
So, in this clash both the teams will be looking to keep their winning momentum going. Can Mumbai Indians win three matches in a row or will Delhi Capitals emerge victorious.
