BENGALURU: In the capital city, Ram Navami celebrations are in full swing everywhere. Temples resonated with the chanting of Rama’s name. Special pujas and rituals were performed at the Ram Mandir in Rajajinagar. The idols of the deity were decorated and worshiped specially on the occasion of Rama Navami.
Across the state too, Rama Navami was celebrated with fervour at major temples.
Devotees thronged temples to catch a glimpse of Lord Rama and seek his blessings. The 63-foot-tall statue of Ramanjaneya is a major attraction. Since morning, thousands of devotees have been flowing towards the temple. The Brahma Ratha is carried out in a procession. The temple was decorated with a mandala, and special pujas and rituals were performed.
Children dressed up as Bala Rama have added to the festivities, drawing everyone’s attention during the Ratha Yatra. The grand chariot of Lord Rama was taken out in a procession on the main streets of Rajajinagar.
