Sister-Brother Duo Tops The CA Final Examination 2021
The 19-year-old Nandini Agrawal topped the ICAI CA final exam with 614/800 marks, whilst her 21-year-old brother Sachin secured a ranking of 18.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the results of the CA exams earlier this year with a Sister-Brother duo from Madhya Pradesh in the spotlight. Nandini Agarwal, 19, secured 614 out of 800 marks to top the CA examinations. Sachin Agarwal, 21, was not far behind with an All India Rank of 18.
"We have done our schooling and prepared for the IPCC and CA final examinations together. Our strategy has been simple - we support each other, but we critique even more. We cross-check our answers for every question that we attempt. There have been moments when I lost hope, but my brother's support got me back on track," said Nandini, mesmerized by her achievement.
The exams (Old and New courses) were conducted between 5th to 9th July 2021 and were attended by 1,29,745 aspirants (Old-46,139 and New-83,606) across 1210 centers (Old-526 and New-684) worldwide.
Girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 27.26% compared to 11.97% for the latter group. It is interesting to note that 11.97% of candidates passed the exam under the new course compared to just 1.57% under the old.
