The Varanasi field unit of the Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh Police on Wednesday unearthed a production unit of fake Covid-19 vaccine and testing kits in Rohit Nagar of the Lanka region.
A big amount of fake Covid testing kits, fake vials of Covishield and Zycov D vaccines, a packing gadget, empty vials, swab sticks, and many others have been recovered from the ownership of the accused. Kumar stated that on interrogation, one of the accused Rakesh Thawani informed STF that he used to make fake vaccines and testing kits in conjunction with Sandeep Sharma, Arunesh Vishwakarma, and Shamsher. Later, they used to deliver the fake vaccine vials and kits to Lakshya Java, who used to ship them to distinctive states via his network. in step with the Deputy SP, legal action is being taken, and the accused are being interrogated for amassing data about their different gang contributors involved in the racket.
