Shah Rukh Khan visits son at Mumbai Jail

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan has been lodged in jail since October 8 in connection with drugs at a cruise ship in Mumbai. He was arrested on October 2 after the NCB (National Control Bureau) raided a rave party on a cruise ship off Mumbai. As per the sources, this is the first time Shah Rukh went to his son after he was arrested on Thursday as the Maharashtra government eased the jail rules. Shah Rukh is seen greeting people with folded hands outside the jail.

Also, Aryan Khan’s bail was rejected twice by a special court in Mumbai. Shah Rukh spoke for 20 minutes to his 23-year-old son through an intercom service in the jail’s meeting hall according to the sources.

Judge VV Patel in his order said “WhatsApp chats prima facie reveal accused Aryan Khan is dealing in illicit drug activities for narcotic substances regularly. Therefore, it cannot be said that Khan is not likely to commit a similar offense while on bail”.  Also, no drugs were found on Aryan Khan but he was well aware that 6 grams of charas were hidden in his friend’s shoe the court said.

Filmmakers Rahul Dholakia and Hansal Mehta following Aryan Khan’s case said the decision on bail rejection is heartbreaking. Many celebrated actors of Bollywood come in support of the superstar including, Hrithik Roshan, Raveena Tandon, Pooja Bhatt, Johnny Lever, and Salman Khan pay visits to his home many times since Aryan’s arrest. Also, filmmakers Zoya Akhtar and Farah Khan. The NCB has questioned many celebrities over the past year on the Bollywood-drugs nexus.
