Chennai Super Kings beat Punjab Kings by 6 wickets with 26 balls remaining

CSK beat PBKS by 6 wickets in a low scoring match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

CSK captain Ms Dhoni won the toss and put the PBKS to bat on a green track. CSK's strike bowler Deepak Chahar dismissed Mayank Agarwal on the 2nd ball of the game with the beauty of a delivery by clipping the top of off stump. Still, he did not stop there and went on to achieve his best bowling figures of 4/13 by demolishing Punjab's top order with his swinging deliveries, and the other bowlers did the rest. With the help of Shahrukh khan's knock of 47 off 36 balls, PBKS managed to get to 106/8, which is a below-par score at this ground.

When Punjab came to bowl, their fast bowlers could not make the most of the conditions and managed to get only one wicket in the powerplay. Moeen Ali scored 46 off 31 and batted well in these conditions because he is used to playing on these pitches back home. Faf du Plessis stayed not out on 36 and sailed past Punjab's low score.

With this win, CSK now stands at second in the points table with 2 points and gets a boost to their Net run rate, which plays a vital role in IPL.
