About Kushinagar:
Kushinagar is an important religious side for the followers of Buddhist community as it is believed to be the final resting place of the Gautama Buddha; it is also recognised as the centre of the Buddhist pilgrimage tour which also includes the sites of Lumbini, Sarnath and Ayodhya.
Writer’s perspective:
With the development of international airport at an important religious site like this, PM has assured a raise in the number of visitors in the country and this will also promote domestic travelling which will directly lead to a better income generation for the country.
As per the statics UP has done a good development under BJP government and while fulfilling the promises of development PM Modi has confirmed the support of another section of the society to gain a well deserved vote count.
From the time when Emperor Ashoka adopted the policy of Dhamma (dharma/religion) he converted himself to a Buddhist monk and ordered his son and daughter to travel and spread the sayings of Gautama Buddha, from that time Buddhism became a more popular religion in this world.
Dalai Lama is one of the most respected Lamas (Monk) in Buddhist, when the Chinese invaded Tibet, it forced him to seek refuge in India, but from then onwards China has taken another reason to establish tussle with India.
But no matter what India is a country of saints and scholars which makes Dalai Lama one of the most celebrated citizens of the country.
